1. Don't be hard on yourself (x2,000,000,000,000,000) This leads to very bad things...
2. Don't wait to do things till the last minute. Though I think its part of the college creed or something.
3. Be human damn it. The best part about living is realizing who you are, and once you do, you grow.
4.IT IS RARE that someone comes along and creates the NEXT BIG THING. IT IS those who can successfully combine many elements of present and past materials that usually progress. As humans we build off of ourselves not some *poof* GREAT NEW THING OUT OF THIN AIR.
5. Can't learn it all. Can't know it all. Your human. (okay so a little 3 is in there)
6. Wagner made really good music, but he was a terrible, terrible man. (there are too many love triangles in music, ughhhh)
7. Regression to the age of 11 is not okay, however if you grow from it then you might not try it again.
8. Misunderstanding of music is just another way of learning how to love it. One day it will reveal itself to you like an unfound object, then your eyes will get bright. (Thats for you Mozart)
9. Beethoven is an incredibly complex man who threw himself into each note. Those later string quartets are absolutely astonishing.
10. Back up and see things, the view is great.
11. Congratulations some how all that stuff you went though this semester just made you a better person.
Philosophical meg... I love what an open mind and a night on a kayak can do to you...
Here's to the rest of the semester and those three papers left. Cheers.
Ps- I can't wait to see what's in store for the summer! I'll post that next!
