I just went to Italy last month and the book of the trip (and after) was Angels and Demons by Dan Brown (Da Vinci Code anyone?)... It seemed like everyone was reading and talking about it. I refused to listen to the hype (even though everyone was calling it a trash novel) during the trip. Well one of my assignments for the course part of the trip was to write a fiction story. I wrote one on a musicologist named Gwen who is kinda well what yours truly wants to be in 10 years, and how she goes all over Italy mingles with the Vatican's highest and tries to find Monteverdi manuscripts. It was cool... Well after my prof was done reading my story and he was amazed the parallels between my story and A&D when I haven't even read A&D or even tried to hear what it was about on the trip... An A&D for musicologists!
So 2 weekends ago I bought A&D, read all of it except for the last 30 pages and I was so busy all last week that i didn't get to finish it until last sunday at the beach. Well... Tonight after I got some work done... I googled CERN.
I am taking physics right now as well.. and the parallels between music and physics and A&D and physics really make me excited! Even though they are two separate things! so... I what do I find on CERN's homepage
http://public.web.cern.ch/Public/Content/Chapters/Spotlight/SpotlightAandD-en.html
long story short... The ANSWERS to all of the CERN questions posed in A&D...
and i thought i would never find out...
little disappointed they don't have an X-33... damn!
and BTW CERN's website is GONZO cool... some of that stuff just BLOWS my mind... ill be up all night now!
